Chris Taylor's financial services career dates back to the late 1980’s, spanning working with active funds, passive funds and structured products.
This includes roles as: Director, UK Structured Products Distribution, HSBC Asset Management; Chief Executive, Blue Sky Asset Management; Chief Executive, Tempo Structured Products.
Chris has been actively involved with the UK retail structured products sector since its earliest days in the UK, in the mid 1990’s – contributing to its evolution and many of its turning points, with a reputation for helping raise the bar in the sector, focusing on "doing the right things".
Over the years, Chris has been responsible for various structured products educational initiatives, including the Institute of Financial Planning CPD-accredited ‘Knowledge is Key’ masterclasses, attended by approximately 1,750 professional advisers, and Tempo’s professional adviser academy.
He has also been a regular contributor to both the national consumer and professional trade press.
Chris’s aim is to continue to play a part in helping 'redefine structured products' for professional advisers and their clients, focusing on education and support, including highlighting the facts that evidence the efficacy of structured products and the potential merits and benefits of including them in diversified portfolios.

Chris Hale's career includes more than 20 years’ experience in the structured products sector.
His experience spans senior roles in structured product administration, design, development and distribution, as well as relationship management, working with a range of counterparties, platforms, and professional advisers.
Throughout his career, Chris has been committed to helping to advance best practice in the sector, including focusing on professional adviser knowledge and understanding of structured products.
He is passionate about promoting the value that best of breed structured products can offer as part of diversified portfolios, with a focus on transparency, clarity, and achieving good outcomes for professional advisers and their clients.
Chris’s ongoing objective is to continue working closely with leading professional adviser firms, supporting evidence-based discussion of the benefits of structured products and contributing to the future growth and professionalism of the UK retail structured products sector.
